The gardens at this Somerset dairy farm are imagined as a living tapestry — three to four acres of land gently shaped into seven distinct zones, each with its own mood, purpose, and quiet story to tell. Inspired by places such as Stourhead, Mottisfont, Hinton Ampner, The Courts at Holt, and Greenway, the design weaves together a sense of history, family life, and the natural rhythms of the working farm, allowing past and present to sit comfortably side by side.

Orchards, meadows, lawns, rose arches, woodland edges, and places to gather are arranged to feel both intentional and relaxed, balancing wildness with structure and order with ease. Each zone invites a different pace and way of being: long family lunches beneath climbing roses, children’s play across open lawns, quiet reading in a hammock, wandering through meadows alive with bees, or discovering a hidden bench for a moment of stillness and reflection.

Season by season, the garden shifts and reveals itself anew — blossom and bulbs in spring, roses and strawberries in summer, apples and golden grasses in autumn, evergreens and still water in winter — creating a landscape that rewards return and attention throughout the year.

Above all, these spaces are designed for belonging: a garden where memories take root, stories continue, and life unfolds gently across the years, grounded in the land and shaped by those who live within it.
